Political Parties

In The Civics Game, political parties help players work together. A party is a group of players who share similar goals and ideas. They run for office, pass ordinances, and build power as a team. Joining a party is one of the first steps in the game.

Parties write ordinances, run campaigns, and help their members earn points. They debate big issues, team up to win elections, and shape how the game world works. The more your party does, the more powerful it becomes. Every player helps move their party forward.

You can browse the list below and ask to join any open party.

When a Student becomes a Citizen, they are automatically placed in the Default Party. They can stay in that party and play as an independent, but they will not have the extra support that major parties provide.

They can also choose to join one of the two major parties and gain access to that party’s tools and structure. Some parties may invite you to apply, while others let you join right away.

You can also start your own party if you want to lead. Most players choose a party that matches how they think the game or the community should work.
